Woodstock is a famous music festival that was held at Max Yasgurs the ad firm in the small town of New York from 15th to 18th august 1969. Bethel is the name of the small town and it is located at a distance of 16 and kilometre from the southwest off Woodstock in New York. The festival is the supporter of counterculture that begins in early 1960. It is also known as the hippie era. Some of the very best musicians appeared in the rainy weekend in front of the more than 50,000 concertgoers. There were total of 32 excellent musicians playing at this festival. Many attempts had been made in the past and present to imitate the festival but the original festival was remarkable and has not yet been imitated.
It was a unique and legendary festival that has set impression worldwide on the hearts of millions of rock and roll fans. It is regarded as the best and the biggest moment in the history of popular music and was also listed on the rolling stones 50 moments. The festival has changed the entire history of the rock and roll. The event has been captured in the documentary movie Woodstock. The movie has been seen by millions of people worldwide and is still able to sell hundreds of copies every year.
