Counterculture Movement

Counterculture movement as the name suggest from was a moment it all started due to the differences of culture between young and the older generation. During the sixties, the newer generation was reluctant to obey and a set the existing norms and rules of the society and tried to bring changes and it due to which a woman called counter that a moment was commenced. In the fifties, the basic traits of ideal of men were unemotional and impersonal. Nevertheless, as the younger generation became aggressive, they started a moment to destroy such morality of the youth and encourage them to the rebellious. They pose a great threat towards socioeconomic values. All those people who had participated in the World War 2 were quite frustrated wanted to take out their frustration through the medium of a moment.

The attitude of the hippies and racial students is the main reason behind the counter culture movement. Along with the counterculture movement, another moment was introduced in the sixties that was known as civil rights movement. There was a great difference between the literature of sixties and the literature of fifties. The concept that was proposed to understand the meaning of freedom was going through a transformation throughout the history. In the sixties, counterculture was supported through a loosely connected people yet large communities of people. The strength of the members present is increasing with the support of creative and destructive works, powerful personalities and politics. The counter culture moment gained momentum during the period of 19157 to 1973 and the very first place where the movement to take place was USA.
